These terms cover three things: ASM clothing, the digital twin NFTs you can claim with a code from an ASM clothing tag, and the VIP Owl Mask for holders of VIP Anti-Social NFTs. They're part of the Terms of Use. The Digital Collectible Purchase Terms also apply to every NFT claim. Words such as "ASM item", "mint fee", "network fee" and "holder" mean what the "Words we use" table on the About ASM page says.
Part A: ASM clothing
- Where it's sold. Physical ASM clothing is sold through our clothing store at https://www.antisocialmedia.shop, not on asmedia.co.za. That store has its own checkout, prices (in rand), shipping and returns terms, which apply to your order.
- No crypto needed. You don't need a wallet or any XRP to buy ASM clothing.
- Your rights. Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 always apply to clothing you buy, including your right to return goods that are defective or not as described within six months of delivery, for a repair, replacement or refund, as the Act provides.
- Digital twins are a bonus. Some ASM pieces come with a tag code for a matching digital wearable (Part B). The clothing is what you buy. The digital twin is an optional extra that you can claim if you want it. A problem with a digital twin doesn't affect your rights in the clothing, and returning the clothing doesn't require you to return a claimed twin.
Part B: Digital twins (tag codes)
- What it is. A digital twin is an ASM item (NFT) that matches your physical piece, so you can wear it on your character in the Wardrobe, on your profile and in the Offline District.
- How to claim.
- Find the code on the tag of your ASM piece (it looks like
ASM-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). - Sign in on the Redeem page with your wallet and enter the code.
- Pay the mint fee shown before you sign, plus the network fee. There's no item price.
- When the fee is confirmed, we mint your twin and offer it to your wallet. Accept the offer in your wallet.
- Find the code on the tag of your ASM piece (it looks like
- One code, one twin. Each code can be claimed once, by one wallet. Once it's bound to a wallet, nobody else can use it. Keep your code private until you claim it. If someone else claims your code first, contact us with proof of purchase and we'll look into it.
- Lost or damaged codes. If a code is missing, damaged or unreadable, contact us with proof of purchase from the clothing store.
- Guessing codes isn't allowed. Repeated wrong codes are blocked for a while.
- Royalty and licence. Digital twins carry the 7% resale royalty and come with the IP and Holder Licence, like other ASM items.
- Privacy. We never put your code, tag serial or claim details on the XRP Ledger or in the NFT's description. We store the code only as a keyed one-way code linked to the wallet that claimed it.
Part C: The VIP Owl Mask
- Who can claim. Each of the 325 Anti Social Media NFTs with the VIP trait can claim one "Owl Mask - Gold" ASM item, once ever. The VIP Check page shows whether a VIP NFT has claimed already.
- The claim follows the VIP NFT, not the person. Once a VIP NFT has been used to claim, it can't claim again, even if it's sold to someone else.
- You must hold the VIP NFT. Your wallet must hold the VIP NFT on Mainnet when you start the claim and when your fee is confirmed. If it doesn't, we'll refund the fee to the wallet that paid it.
- How to claim. Start the claim from your profile, pay the claim fee shown before you sign (plus the network fee), then accept the free offer of the mask in your wallet. An unpaid claim expires after 30 minutes. You can have up to 3 unpaid claims open at once.
- The mask is a normal ASM item. Anyone who holds it can wear it. It carries the 7% royalty and the IP and Holder Licence. It isn't sold in the Shop or found in crates.
Part D: Fees and refunds for claims
- A claim fee is only for creating your NFT. If you paid and we couldn't deliver your twin or mask, we'll finish the delivery or refund the fee in XRP to the wallet that paid.
- If a fee arrives for a claim that can no longer go ahead (for example the VIP NFT left your wallet), the fee goes on our refund list. DM the_oak_ on Discord with the claim reference shown on screen.
- Network fees go to the XRP Ledger and can't be refunded by ASM.
Part E: Help
